What it checks
SEO
Title and meta description length, canonical URL, indexability (robots meta, X-Robots-Tag, and Googlebot path access), html lang, charset, mobile viewport, a single sequential H1 outline, image alt coverage, internal vs external links, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, favicon, structured data (JSON-LD) validity, and content length.
GEO — Generative Engine Optimization
Heuristic AI-readiness diagnostics: whether robots.txt permits OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, and Claude-SearchBot for the page path; separate informational controls for user-triggered and training crawlers; recognized schema; applicable author and date signals; clear content structure; and whether the main content is present in HTML without JavaScript. /llms.txt is reported as an optional proposal and does not affect the score.
How scoring works
Checks are weighted by impact: critical 5, high 3, medium 2, and low 1. A pass earns full weight, a warning earns half, and a failure earns none. Informational and unknown results are excluded. Fatal availability, indexability, or crawlability conditions mark a section Blocked and cap its score at 49.
Scores are diagnostics only. They do not guarantee a search ranking, rich result, AI citation, or inclusion in any product.
